The South Georgia Judicial Circuit is located in the Second Judicial Administrative District and is comprised of five counties - Baker, Calhoun, Decatur, Grady and Mitchell.

      There are three judges for the Circuit - Chief Judge Heather H. Lanier, whose office is located in Camilla, Mitchell County, Presiding Judge M. Claire Chason , whose office is located in Cairo, Grady County and Presiding Judge Lawton C. Heard, Jr., whose office is located in Bainbridge, Decatur County.

     The monthly Court Itinerary is issued annually and may be viewed or downloaded.

     Civil and criminal hearing day Calendars, as well as civil calendar calls and civil and criminal trial calendars, will be posted and may be viewed or downloaded. 

    Significant changes have been made in the formalities with which cases involving children and child support are handled. Special attention should be given to those changes.
